The “Tablet PC Input Service” may cause an instability of 3DEXCITE DELTAGEN if used in combination with other touch device drivers.
It is strongly recommended to follow the instructions below to avoid such stability problems. Since local administrator rights are required to manage services, it might be necessary to contact your IT department.
1. Open “Computer/Manage/Device Manager/Human Interface Devices” and either disable or uninstall any driver in this section that is related to Tablet PC Inputs. To do so open the context menu and select the “Disable” or “Uninstall” option, depending on what is available.
2. In “Start Menu/Computer/Manage/Applications and Services/Services” find the “Tablet PC Input Service”, open the context menu and stop the service. For a persistent solution set the Startup type to “Disabled” in the properties. You can also execute “net stop TabletInputService” from a command prompt.
Your tablet is still usable with DELTAGEN after stopping the “Tablet PC Input Service”.
3DEXCITE DELTAGEN 13.0 detects the state of the “Tablet PC Input Service” and shows an appropriate warning dialog offering to stop the service if it is currently running. Clicking “Yes” within this dialog stops the service without altering the startup type. Local administrator rights are required for this feature to work properly but 3DEXCITE DELTAGEN 13.0 would start nevertheless with the service still running.
