Description
When trying to load the MayaTools within the Autodesk Maya(R) “Plug-in Manger” you get an error message similar to “//Error: line 64: The specified module could not be found. (rttPngCameraImporter2017.mll)“. The issue is caused by the plug-in installer, which sometimes fails to automatically create a required environment variable.
The picture shows an example of the error message in Autodesk Maya(R) 2017.
Solution
To solve the issue you need to manually add the following entry at the beginning of the “Path” variable in your system “Environment Variables“:
C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\3DEXCITE\DELTAGEN2018x\MayaTools
If you are not using the default DELTAGEN installation location the path can be different on your workstation. The picture shows an Microsoft Windows 10 example how the beginning of a manually corrected “Path” variable would look like when using the default installation locations.
Note: Editing the “Environment Variables” requires administrator privileges!
