Description
The user guide for DELTAGEN STAGE contains a detailed description of all available render settings for the render modes Rasterizing, Raytracing and Global illumination. As there is no high level overview at the beginning of the chapter “Render Menu”, it is quite hard to get an impression on how to handle all the detailed information about the render settings.
Solution
As simplification, use this article as an addendum to the chapter “Render Menu” in the DELTAGEN STAGE User Guide for 3DEXCITE DELTAGEN MAKRETING SUITE R2018x.
The following table gives you a high level overview of the render settings available for the three render modes:
Rasterizing | Raytracing | Global illumination
Sampling & anti-aliasing for active camera | x | x | x |
Hardware anti-aliasing | x
Render shadows | x | ||
IBL sampling | x | x | |
Accurate reflections | x
Raytracing settings | x | ||
Global illumination settings | x |
“Sampling & anti-aliasing for active camera” is the only available option that can be selected for all three render modes. This option consists of two settings, “Progressive sampling” to set the desired smoothing quality and “Anti-aliasing” to improve the quality of the whole image.
The option “IBL sampling” can be selected for the render modes Rasterizing and Raytracing. It replaces the setting “Progressive sampling” in case a surrounding exists in the scene.
The five remaining render options are specific for just one render mode. The description of these render options in the DELTAGEN STAGE user guide is splitted into various sections depending on the corresponding render mode.
