After having configured PICTUREBOOK to validate a password using LDAP integration, only the “Superuser” account can properly log on to the PICTUREBOOK web page.
To properly configure the LDAP configuration panel of PICTUREBOOK Admin, the support of IT System Administrators is required. All configuration fields need to be properly filled in with parameters and arguments based on the local LDAP configuration.
To have a full record of all LDAP validation steps executed by PICTUREBOOK in the “picturebook.log” file, execute the following steps:
- Open the PB Admin tool and, in “PICTUREBOOK Settings – Server”, change the Log Level to “debug”.
- Run the executable file “tomcat7w.exe” from folder “..picturebook x.ytomcatbin and at end of “Java Options” in JAVA tab, add the line:-Dcom.sun.jndi.ldap.connect.pool.debug=all.
- Restart the PICTUREBOOK application services.
