Description
It is possible to animate the visibility of a 3D note Overlay, by following the below steps:
Solution
Creating the 3D note Overlay:
- Go to Tools > Overlays
- Click “Create 3D note”
- Choose the wanted position for the new 3D note by picking on an object in the view port
–> a Locator object is being create at this position - Enter the wanted input in the Text field
The position of the locator object can be adjusted with the manipulators
The Position of the Text can be changed by simply left clicking and moving it
Alternative 3D note creation:
- Create a Locator object in the Scene tree (Scene > Create object > Locator object)
- Go to Tools > Overlays
- Click “Create 3D note”
- Double click the yellow locator in the viewer
- Enter the wanted input in the Overlays Text field
The position of the Locator object can be adjusted with the manipulators
The position of the text can be changed by simply left clicking and moving it
Animating the Visibility of the 3D note Overlay
- Make sure noting is selected in the scene tree
- Go to Animation > Create animation
- Choose 3D note as type
- Click “Create”
- Open Animation > Animation list
- Drag the 3D note from Overlays into the Targets filed of the 3D note Timeline
- Open Animation > Timeline
- Make sure the “3D note_01” is selected inside the Animation list
- Click “Set key” in the Timeline
- Uncheck the “View” Box next to the “note_01” inside the Overlays dialogue
- Click “Append key” in the Timeline
- Further keys can be added in the same way
–> When playing the timeline the visibility of the 3D note will change accordingly
