Description
Creating a video texture animation was complicated in current DELTAGEN versions and not supported for Stellar:
- Make sure nothing is selected in the Scene tree
- Go to Animation menu > Create animation
- Choose “Video texture” as type
- Open the Animations list window
- Drop the object with the video texture from the Scene tree into the timeline target field
- In the Timeline window set a key
- Change the state of the video texture e.g. play it now and set another key or click “Append key”
- Change the state of the video texture again e.g. pause it now and set another key or click “Append key”
–> When playing the timeline of the animation the state of the video texture adjusts as set before at each key
Solution
With DELTAGEN 2018x it will be possible to create a video texture animation in Stellar and the workflow has been simplified:
- Select the Scene tree object with the video texture
- Right click on it
- In the Context menu choose “Create animation”
- Select “Video texture” as type
- Click “Create”
–> In the Animation list the Video texture got assigned as target automatically - In the Timeline window set a key
- Change the state of the video texture e.g. play it now and set another key or click “Append key”
- Change the state of the video texture again e.g. pause it now and set another key or click “Append key”
–> When playing the animation the state of the video texture adjusts as set before at each key
