The Windows service “Tablet PC Input Service” interferes with DELTAGEN and should be deactivated.
Especially when touch devices or graphic tablets are attached to the system this service can lead to an unusually high amount of USER Objects on the rttDeltaGen.exe process which can be observed in the Windows Task Manager. If a critical number of 10000 objects is reached DELTAGEN becomes very unstable or might even crash.
To deactivate the Tablet PC Input Service open the Windows Control Panel, click on Administrative Tools and select Services or type “services” into the Windows search bar. In the list of services look for the Tablet PC Input service, open its Properties from the context menu and set the Startup type to either Manual or Disabled.
Please note that most products (e.g. WACOM tablets) bring their own device drivers and do not rely on this Windows service to function properly.
