Description
Save for distribution is a function that can save the scene including all textures into one specified folder.
However no separate “textures” folder is being created, but the files are put into one folder together with the scene files. Because of this also no texture search path file is being created.
Solution
There is a simple workaround for this problem by following these steps after your scene as been saved with “Save for distribution”:
- Create a new folder named “textures”
- Move all textures that have been saved together with your scene into that folder
- Open the scene in DELTAGEN
- Go to Look > Texture > Change texture paths…
- Select and remove the unwanted old path(s) using
- Click the
to add the path to the new “textures” folder
- Click “OK”
- Go to File > Save
- Click “No” in the Unused textures pop up
–> a texturePath file has been created - Open the scene file again
- Go to Look > Texture > Change texture paths…
- Delete the old unwanted path one last time
- Click “OK”
- Go to File > Save
